Hi Friends and Family, 

I am excited to start this new journey of run/walking 4 half marathons in a month! (That equals 52.4 miles in 30 days!) I would not be crazy enough to do something like this if it wasn't for good reason. I have watched my church for years support the orphans in India who have HIV/AIDS. Pastor Guna from India has visited a handful of times in the past 20 years to share what he and Pastor Bob began. They started with one mother who begged them to take her child as she was dying from AIDS. After that, they took in more and more "untouchables" who were orphaned and abandoned by other family members who were scared of the disease. In the past 10 years to which I have seen, this group of people I am running with started the now known Fiftytwofour organization to support those efforts. We are now working towards the specific goal of building a home for special girls.
